Video proves definitively that Trump is rapidly becoming mentally unfit to be president. Will he make to the 2020 election? The Republicans certainly hope so. Or they might have to do a 25th Amendment number on him.
But it’s not just this video. Mental health professionals are warning that Trump’s mental decline could have disastrous consequences:
A group of 350 psychiatrists and other mental-health professionals are set to submit a petition to Congress on Thursday claiming that President Donald Trump’s mental health is rapidly deteriorating amid the impeachment inquiry.
“We are speaking out at this time because we are convinced that, as the time of possible impeachment approaches, Donald Trump has the real potential to become ever more dangerous, a threat to the safety of our nation,” Drs. Bandy Lee, a Yale psychiatrist, Jerrold Post, a former CIA profiler, and John Zinner, a psychiatrist at George Washington University, wrote in a statement accompanying the petition, which was first reported by the British outlet The Independent.
They wrote that “failing to monitor or to understand the psychological aspects” of impeachment on Trump “or discounting them could lead to catastrophic outcomes.”
Trump’s mental decline is separate from his obvious lifelong mental illness. He is a narcissist and probably a psychopath. This is why he shows no shame or conscience. His constant lying and exaggeration of his accomplishments are just a few of the symptoms:
Trump has developing his narcissism from birth. He was raised that way:
NPD was first introduced as a personality disorder by the DSM in 1980 and affects up to six percent of the U.S. population. It is not a mood state but rather an ingrained set of traits, a programming of the brain that is thought to arise in childhood as a result of parenting that either puts a child on a pedestal and superficially inflates the ego or, conversely, withholds approval and requires the child to single-handedly build up his or her own ego to survive. Either way, this impedes the development of a realistic sense of self and instead fosters a “false self,” a grandiose narrative of one’s own importance that needs constant support and affirmation – or “narcissistic supply” – to ward off an otherwise prevailing sense of emptiness. Of all personality disorders, NPD is among the least responsive to treatment for the obvious reason that narcissists typically do not, or cannot, admit that they are flawed.
There are first hand accounts of Trump’s narcissism by a mental health professional who met him:
An FDNY psychologist who says Donald Trump once crudely insulted her looks has diagnosed him as mentally unfit to be president.
Suzanne Lachmann claims her brief encounter with Trump — and her work treating FDNY firefighters after 9/11 — qualifies her to make the pronouncement.
Lachmann recently tweeted that she “met Trump personally,” and that her work with the Bravest to “determine who must be taken off line due to mental duress,” justifies her conclusion that the commander-in-chief must go.
This from Dr. John Gartner, Founder of “Duty To Warn” and co-editor of “Rocket Man: Nuclear Madness and the Mind of Donald Trump:
Bottomline: We have to remove Trump before he does something catastrophic. There might not an election in 2020. We might not even a country left. It’s that serious.
